Injustice

Ok.  Top three reasons I hate Ogden
1- It's ugly
2- It means I am only half way to Salt Lake
3- Cops
So about 2 weeks ago I was driving to SLC, and passing through Ogden.  I am coughing my head off, look up in my rearview mirror to see a car is on my butt, and so I hurry and get over (without signaling).  Next thing I know lights are flashing.  I am getting pulled over.  I am freaking out because I don't know why I am being pulled over...I know I am not speeding.  I get over to the side of the road, and Officer Notsofriendly approaches my car.  He tells me that he clocked me going 80 mph and that I did not signal.  In my head I am thinking, did he really just pull me over for going 5 miles over the speed limit?  Wow, he must not have anything better to do.  So then he asks me how my driving record is.  I tell him that it is good, and that I have no tickets, thinking I am getting brownie points and am going to get out of this.  Boy was I wrong.  He reappears at my car and tells me that I was going 15 mph over the speed limit! I was like what?! I was only going 80!  He then told me that the speed limit changed to 65 a half mile ago!  1/2 mile people!  EWWWWWWW!  I am so bugged.  Then he is like I will give you a break and only cite you for 10 over, and a warning on the failure to signal.  I was like whatever, thank you, and goodbye!  Don't worry the story does not end there.  Today I call to pay the ticket, and the lady is like you can't pay it until you provide proof of insurance.  Um, hi.  I totally gave the cop my insurance and he did not put it in the system!  I am IRATE at this point.  So she is like you have to come to Ogden to show us proof.  Great.  It is not like it's finals week and I have nothing better to do.  Then I ask her how much my ticket was going to be, she replies $165!  WTF?!  "WHY?"  I ask her and she goes on to tell me that I got cited for speeding, and for not signaling.  The stupid cop lied to me!  Ew... I hate him.  Not only did he not put down my insurance, but he totally lied to me!  So I drove my booty down to Ogden to set up a court date to fight my ticket, because they would not set one up over the phone!  EEEEEWWWWW!  I have never disliked someone so bad!  I hope he shoots himself in the foot.  So my court date is January 6....pray for me! hahaha  I am done venting now.

All Because Two People Fell In LOVE!

Happy 25 years of marriage parents!  I love my mamma and papa bear so much!  Today they celebrated 25 years of marriage, and I could not be happier for them.  Most of you know that their marriage has had its fair share of trials, but I speak for me and my sisters when I say that we are so proud of them and the wonderful examples that they are to us.  I am so excited to see what the next 25 years holds for them and our family.  Love you parents.  Oh, and this is the only time I have ever seen my parents dance together....I think I about peed my pants!

DisneyLand!

This last weekend I got to go to Disneyland with one one of my best friends Paul!  We had a blast! We left Sunday morning an came back Monday night.  I think 2 days in D-land is just perfect.  We got to go on all the rides we wanted to, meet the characters, and go to the shows!  My favorite part was that everything was decorated for Halloween.  It was SO cute.  The Haunted Mansion was amazing, they change it so everything is like the Nightmare Before Christmas.  So  sweet!  The weather was a perfect 85 degrees, and I got a little color!  I really needed the break, and am so grateful that I have flying benefits.  It truly is the happiest place on Earth!

Missin' My Girls

The only word to describe my girlfreinds and I growing up is weird. Haha.  Lets just say we came up with the craziest things to keep us entertained from Kindergarten to the present.  I just want to share a few of my favorite memories of me and my girls...
*9-line!  (This is a crisis line that we would call and prank all the time while we waited for our ride in middle school).
*Music Videos (Avril)
*Hours, hours, hours of home videos!  Just to name my favorites...Aladdin, Italian couple, the one where this picture came from, and a million others.
*Glamour Pictures
*Marci's house and tons of food.
*Christmas Parties
*Amanda's love potions
*Having Nichole help me with my Math all the time.
*Valentines Day (Jillian peeing her pants every year)
*Halo
*East Elementary Broncos
*Back to school parties
*"Surprise" Birthday Breakfasts  (the year I got caught in my towel)
*Swimming...all the time!
*Jimmy Johns Delivery
*Licensees
*Pranking people everyday...haha so mean.
*Braxtin and Spencer...bahahaha
*Sleepovers
*Having friend devotionals
*Aleesha's house
*The Boulevard
*Night games
*Halloween
*First Cuss Words
*Martina McBride Concert
*Plays...I was always the supporter
*Grandma Mable
*Mighty Ducks
*Room decorating
*Kidnapping Marci...I think I peed my pants laughing
*Firesides
*EFY
*Braces....everyone!  Me the longest though.
*Nicknames... they were pretty mean!
*Marci's satanic dog Daisy...everyone was scared of her.  I still hate her to this day.
*Polly...Jillian's nice dog.
*How we named eachothers toenails...
Jillian had square toes so we called her Sponge Bob Square Toes
Marci has way spacey toes that are balls so we called her alien toes
Caitilin has triangle toenails...no comment!  Love you Cakers!
Everyone else had pretty normal toes...haha
*City league sports...we were all always on the same team
*Morningside Gang...we all lived in Morningside so that is what people started calling us at school
*Graduation

These are just a few of the memories that I have of my best friends from my childhood.  It is so crazy that we are all grown up in college, married, and having babies.  It literally seems like yesterday when we were being nerds, and just doing pointless things all the time.  I just want to tell Amanda, Jillian, Kenzee, Aleesha, Nichole, Marci, Caitlin, and Kenzee how much I love and miss you all!  Thank you so much for being the best friends ever and making me the person that I am today.  Much love!

My Bff Marci!

As I am sure you all know, Marci and I have been best friends since Kindergarten!  We have been through soo much together like our fat elementary days, awkward middle school period, crazy high school drama, and yes even the college life.  Today she came up to Logan to visit me, and go to the game.  We had so much fun even though it was only for a couple of hours.  She also brought me up a little surprise.  She knows that I have been a little low on the cash flow lately, and have been eating ramen and spagettios all time, so she went shopping at Costco before she came up and surprised me with a bunch of food!  It was seriously SO nice and thoughtful of her.  She is always doing kind things for others to cheer them up.  I am very grateful that I have been blessed with the best friend in the world.  Thanks Marci you are da bomb!

From Forest Ranger to Black Ninja

The thing that  I probably hated most about my last job, was my hideous work uniform!  It consisted of Khaki pants, green collard shirt (totally looks like a dude shirt),  brown or black shoes, and a belt.  As you can see in the picture.... hideous!  Everyday when I left for work I felt like a forest ranger.  That is how everyone referred to me as well.  No good.  So now that I started a new serving job at Hamiltons Steakhouse, my outfit is 1000 times better.  All black, with a fitted collard shirt.  I feel like a black Ninja, that can do some serious damage!  haha Only kidding.  Anyway, I am so grateful for my new outfit!  Any horror work uniforms?  Feel free to share.

The Rockin' 80's

Finally at the top!

My favorite part was repelling!

Hey big BOOTY!

Cheese!

Totally would have loved living in the 80's!

I think that my title is so creative because I went rock climbing, and I went 80's dancing! haha  Anyway, yesterday my friend, that I actually like more than a friend, came to visit me from Salt Lake!  I was so excited :)  We had such a fun time.  When he got up here we went rock climbing with his brothers and some of his friends.  This was my first time and I totally had to get over my insecurities cause by booty looked huge!  Not to mention I did not think that I was going to be able to do it.  However, I conquered the climb!  But I am not gonna lie it was super hard! haha  I got my workout for the day.  It is something that I totally want to practice more and get better at.  After climbing we went to Wingers and got some grub.  We were starving!  Then we went and got ready to go 80's dancing! These pics are of me and Nate.  I don't know how 80's we looked, but I did have a Hulk shirt on, and I gave him a women's leather vest to wear over his shirt. We had such a fun time just hangin' out.  I can't wait until my next adventure!

The Day I Got My Lips Back!

Ok.  So I don't know how many of you get cold sores....but they are probably the worst thing ever!  I usually get them every month or two, so I have recently started taking a prescription for it.  However a little over a week ago I got one in the middle of the day, I was muy upset!  So I went home to take me meds and it was all gone!  I figured it would be alright and would probably be a little one.  Boy was I wrong!  I woke up the next morning with 8!  I know...gross!  Iwanted to kill myself.  For those of you have never had one let me tell you something.  They make you feel SOOO ugly no matter how hard you try, not to mention they are caca looking.  After about 1 1/2 weeks later mine are finally cleared up...glorious day!  Obviously, the first picture is a little exaggerated, but the second one is just me glad to have my smile back!  Yay!  Any horror stories about cold sores?  Please share.

Logan!

So for all of you who don't know I am now an Aggie!  I am excited for this new adventure in my life :)  I have been attending the U for the last few years and was working on nursing.  As my time progressed at the U I noticed that I was trying to convince myself EVERYDAY that nursing is what I wanted to.  I finally came to the conclusion that it was just not making me happy.  And to tell the truth, if I am putting this much time, effort, and money into my schooling I want it to be for something that will make me happy the rest of my life.  So I have made huge change and am starting the Interior Design Program at USU.  I know, totally different than what I was doing before.  Needless to say, I now have a lot of pointless science credits.  Oh well, life goes on.  Why did I choose one of the coldest places on Earth?  Because I am stupid.  I am still a STG girl, and I really don't know how I am going to survive the winter!  haha
So this is a picture of my room, that is the size of a closet.  I had a really hard time getting rid of my old bedroom set, which consisted of my queen pillow top mattress :(  I tried make my room as cozy as possible, but with the white walls it was a tad bit difficult.  I live with 2 girls who are both a few years younger than me.  This is weird, because I am use to being to young one!  I like the one roomie, and the other one is a little bit of a bitty.  Hopefully we will all get along!
The picture of me frowning is because I am feeling homesick for Salt Lake.  I miss my Shalie, Sita, and Ella so much I cry even when I think about it.  I am SO grateful for them, and they are my best friends.  Spending an entire sabbath day by myself, cause I don't really have friends yet, has been a little difficult.  However, tomorrow I start school, and a new job!  So I will be busy, and thats what I like!

I LOVE my Gramps!

So it has been a year now since my dear Grandpa Clark has passed away, and I have been thinking a lot about him.  I just want everyone to know what a kind grandpa I had.  He was always telling me how beautiful I am, and asking me if I was "chasin the boys" yet.  I spent so much time at Grandma and Grandpas growing up, and cherish all the memories that I got to make with them.  I just want to write a quick list of some of my favorite memories of my Grandpa.  I am sure my cousins have a lot of these as well...
Making me laugh by taking his teeth out
Getting his "buggs"
Playings hours of Hand and Foot
Being baptized... he said he was going to put ice in the water and hold me down!  haha
Fudge on my birthday
The farm in the mornings
Singing.  Far, far too much singing
Puzzles
Jazz Games
Gas Stations
Not being able to tell if he is looking at me or not
Scary sneezes
Pinches on my bum
Playing jokes on him... finger on the forehead
Going to the ranch
Crazy driving
Pouting when loosing a game
Beautiful white hair
Chirstmas Mornings
Cowboy
These are just a few things that I love about my Grandpa.  I really do miss him SO much, and I feel so grateful that he is MY Gramps.  I am glad that I have such an amazing person to look up to, and  to follow his example.  I cannot wait until I get to see him again.  I LOVE YOU GRANDPA!

Zions!

A few weeks ago my friends and I were in southern Utah.  We decided to go on a little hike in Zions.  We did the Emerald Pool adventure.  It was way hot, so once we were finsished we cooled off by splashing in the river.  Zions is sooo beautiful and I am glad that I grew up around it.  I always loved driving through the park on the way to Granny and Gramps ranch.  It brings such happy memories back.  It was a fun weekend.

Yay For Independence Day!

I had a BLAST this 4th of July.  Shalie, Sita, Ella, and I left Friday morning for the Lucky 7 Ranch in Hatch, Utah.  Where is Hatch you may be asking?  Well, it is about 15 minutes away from Panguitch.  If that does not help you, let's just say it's out in the middle of nowhere :)  We had to make a couple stops along the way, because little princess Ella is not a huge fan of her car seat. One of the stops we made was in Beaver, hence the picture in the giant rocking chair.  We finally made it to Hatch around 3 or 4 in the afternoon where we were greeted by family and friends. The weekend was filled with tons of fun activities.  You will never believe what I did...I made it to the finals of the mechanical bull contest!  Oh my gosh....it was HILARIOUS!  My inner thighs are black and blue, and killing me!  I have the biggest bruises of my life from that beast!  The video that I have on here is from my first try.  I swear it is a lot harder than it looks!  There was also a water relay between all the families where my Dad and Sita lost horribly, because they sank the canoe with their "masculine" bodies!  We had other activities such as a chili cook off, skeet shooting, and firework show.  It was so much fun just to relax and be together with the family.  Thank you so much Walters for inviting us to join your family fun!
